Why wireless upgrade

Modern vehicle infotainment systems rely on smartphones for navigation, audio and communication. Wired CarPlay or Android Auto connections can create practical inconveniences, including repeated plugging that wears on ports, tangled cables that affect cabin organization and the need for manual connection at the start of each drive.

The RCD330MK002 is intended to address those issues through a plug-and-play approach that upgrades a factory wired system to wireless operation. After an initial pairing, the adapter is designed to establish a wireless connection automatically when the vehicle is started.

The adapter uses a 5.8GHz transmission design intended to support stable navigation, music playback and voice calls. It is also designed to retain the factory control layout rather than introduce a separate interface or require changes to familiar vehicle operations.

Compatibility and requirements

Before use, the vehicle must already have factory wired CarPlay or Android Auto functionality. For phone systems, iOS devices require version 6.0 or later, while Android devices generally require version 10.0 or later, with some models requiring version 11.0 or later.

The product packaging includes USB-A and Type-C data cables to support different connection interfaces. Users are advised to confirm both vehicle and phone compatibility before installation.
